No Sympatico - Vandalize Your Mind vinyl
Seriously great punk rock out of Kalamazoo!
No Sympatico originally started as a recording project of Eric Brown and Tommy Ufkes of Thee Elder Gods, and one can hear that foundation in Vandalize Your Mind. This is not your standard three-chord punk rock. This is nuanced goodness while providing lyrics of institutional cynicism about the world we live in.
Maximum Rock N Roll described the album as having "Elements of the CRUCIFUCKS, NOMEANSNO, musically but the lyrical feelings somewhat like taking a walk on a wooded trail and just as you're starting to decompress from the day's shit you start [to] feel good about things, you see somebody's hamburger wrapper next to their Pepsi bottle they discarded trailside, and you get angry and start wishing a comet was a little closer to wipe us all out . . . ."
Released on the band's own We're Gonna Be Millionaires Records (WGBM) and now distributed by Back Ache Records.
